On Friday, developer AEG announced that LA's Department of Cultural Affairs had approved designs for its Downtown NFL stadium project, known as Farmers Field, and the big accompanying overhaul of the LA Convention Center. Which is weird, because the NFL pretty much killed that plan off ages ago. But apparently Mayor Garcetti and AEG are desperately trying to bring it back from the dead; NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell seems less dedicated, turning down an in-person meeting with Garcetti, but agreeing to a phone call this weekend.
