New, 5 comments

This colorful compound a few blocks north of the Brentwood Country Club was designed in 1991 by Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta, a disciple of Luis Barragán. Known as Casa Shapiro, the walled property occupies three-quarters of an acre, and includes an 8,184-square-foot main residence with six bedrooms and eight baths, plus "plazas, gardens & greenswards," an outdoor dining room, pool with spa and cabana, and a paddle tennis court. Last sold in 1988 for $1.84 million, it's now asking $10.995 million.
