Two City Council committees are due to vote tomorrow to ask Los Angeles World Airports for an update on plans to build a people mover and a direct Metro connection to LAX. Councilmember Mike Bonin (who represents the area around the airport) penned the motion (pdf), which says the projects promise "to breathe new life into the Century Corridor," in addition to reducing traffic, offering "world-class conveniences to the traveling pubic," and making the airport generally less of a clusterfuck (note: not a direct quote).
