HOLLYWOOD: Vine is not one of your better Hollywood streets, but there are some interesting things starting to happen. Down near Melrose, Eagle Rock favorite Oinkster is setting up shop for a late 2013 or early 2014 opening. If you don't know it, it's high-quality diner food with some healthy options thrown in.
DOWNTOWN: Another popular, casual eatery, 800 Degrees, is expanding to Downtown. The popular Westwood pizza parlor moves into the bottom floor of the Financial District's 800 Wilshire building--how fitting--by the summer, with full bar and 100 seats.
ALL OVER: For Cocktail Week, Eater asked LA bartenders where they like to knock back a few. Quintessential haunts like Starlite Room, Birds, and The Drawing Room all made the list.
