It is not cheap (tickets starting at $300), but oh man the LA Conservancy is holding its fall fundraiser this year in one of the finest houses in Los Angeles: the Brody House in Holmby Hills, built in 1951, designed by A. Quincy Jones, and with interiors by Billy Haines. After the deaths of the Brodys, who commissioned the house, it sold to a mysterious local investor in 2010; the invitation says the buyer gave the house "a sensitive restoration." See it for yourself if you've got the scratch to spare. [LA Conservancy]
