DOWNTOWN: The Parish--the restaurant in that New Orleans-esque building where Spring and Main meet--closed unexpectedly. Apparently, the early buzz couldn't be sustained and the place never made that much money. Looks like there's an already a new resto for the space, though.
EAGLE ROCK: An even more shocking shutter happened on Eagle Rock Boulevard when The Bucket closed down after 78 years of business. The good-time burger-and-beer joint couldn't keep up with the rising rent, according to the owner.
SANTA MONICA: Let's end on a happy note: the former Naresh's on Main Street will soon to become Fork in the Road, a non-GMO restaurant with booze options. The restaurant will likely be known by the large fork on the facade.
