Staples Center Re-Cushioning All Its Seats For 2014

Over the summer, Staples Center owner AEG poured an undisclosed amount of money into a whole bunch of little upgrades for the 14-year-old arena. The venue, which hosts 250 events a year, now has free Verizon WiFi and 1,400 HD-enabled TVs. More importantly, asses will get a break with new foam padding and fabric being added to the arena's seats (work on that should be done in February). Nearly half a dozen eateries and bars were redesigned or revamped with new menus, and an upscale food stand from Chef Ludo Lefebvre opened this month. And if Beyoncé is reading this, she'll be happy to know that all six artist dressing rooms got new carpet, paint jobs, and granite countertops, but livid that Staples still refuses to hire a full-time employee to separate out green M&Ms for talent.
