Encino Mid-Century By Ray Kappe Has Tree Growing Through It

New, 17 comments

Known as the Strimling Residence, this handsome Encino post and beam was designed by Ray Kappe and built in 1964. Last sold three years ago for $1.58 million, it's now down-low pocket-listed, but with no price specified in the listing. The description does inform us, however, that the 4,018-square-foot residence has four bedrooms and four baths and features "dramatic cantilevered rooms, floor to ceiling windows and doors, and an atrium built around a sycamore tree." There're also two fireplaces, multiple decks, a swimming pool, motor court, and two-car garage. The "meticulously restored" property is located on a .8-acre lot northeast of the Encino Reservoir.
