The dangerously outdated Glendale-Hyperion Bridge, between Atwater and Silver Lake, is finally set for a big overhaul, but bike advocates are flipping that plans don't include bike lanes or any other additions that might make the bridge friendlier to non-drivers (they do include "a second, smaller crossing for pedestrians and cyclists just south" of the bridge). Those advocates came out in big numbers for a public hearing last night, where the city also presented a couple of more pedestrified/bikeified design options. [Eastsider LA, previously]
