A Gray Day of Doubles at LA's Most Beautiful Tennis Court

The new tennis court at the Sheats-Goldstein House has the best views in Los Angeles, and on a marine-layered day like last Saturday? It's the perfect setting for some amateur tennis, players in gawky outline against the white sky and gray skyline in the distance. The MAK Center held a charity doubles tournament last weekend with players from the worlds of art/design/fabulousness; Syriana screenwriter Stephen Gaghan and producer Brian Burton, aka Danger Mouse, won the shiny trophy designed by architect Duncan Nicholson, who also designed the court and the office/club space below it. Enjoy the view.
