Updated 10/25: Madonna's notorious but somewhat mysterious Sunset Boulevard house has finally sold after a year and a half on the market, for a pretty hefty price (although not as much as she'd hoped for): the high-end real estate market, if you haven't heard, is baaaaack. Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone bought the house, on a 1.17-acre flag lot set way back from the boulevard in Beverly Hills, back in 2003 for $12 million (from actress Sela Ward); it has nine bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, two dining rooms, a screening room, a gym, two guesthouses, a tennis court, a pool, etc. etc. She first listed it quietly in 2012, off the open market, for $28 million, then unleashed it on the MLS in January this year for $22.5 million. TMZ reports today that a buyer, "a Wall St. big shot," has just paid *$19.5 million (the LA Times has confirmed this is the actual sale price). Madonna is supposedly looking for a smaller place in town, but of course also has nice spreads in New York and London.
