Imagine that, South LA residents who live near Allenco Energy's oil drilling operation aren't super happy that no one will tell them what's up with their health problems. About a hundred showed up yesterday for a meeting with the South Coast Air Quality Management District and "criticized the agency's inability to say whether fumes from an oil field are hazardous." While the SCAQMD says the problems are an "extremely high priority for us," one resident says "they did nothing about complaints from our community ? Obviously, they're here because of all the negative attention they are getting in the media and from elected leaders." [LAT, previously]
