Convention Center Chronicles

The city has finalized the deal to let AEG--the company that own Staples Center and LA Live--run the LA Convention Center. Apparently, LA is "[h]oping that an outside manager can bring more dazzle" to the weird, outdated Convention Center. AEG will get paid a base fee of $175k a year, with bonuses for raising revenues or bookings, or making other targets. They say they'll save money by doubling up staffers from Staples and LA Live.
