Rich people things!: "The stones in the garden were arranged by sculptor Isamu Noguchi." That's a description (from the Wall Street Journal) of the Richard Neutra-designed Singleton House in Bel Air, which has just sold to french luxury goods tycoon Francois Pinault (and yes, it's a Neutra-y day). The 6,400-square-foot house was built in 1959 for the industrialist Henry Singleton; modernist hairdresser Vidal Sassoon and his wife Ronnie bought it back in 2004 and gave it a thorough renovation. Sassoon died last year and the house was listed in November asking $17.995 million (it was previously listed in 2007 asking $19.955 million). Pinault founded PPR, the company that owns Gucci/YSL/Puma/etc.; he paid $16.5 million for the Singleton.
