There were nearly 27,000 $1 million-plus home sales in California in 2012--that's a 27 percent increase over 2011. (And there were 697 sales over $5 million.) Just to twist the knife a little, a full quarter of the $1 million-plus deals were all-cash. Manhattan Beach had the second most million-plusers in the state (after NorCal's Hillsborough).
