How do you furnish a house made out of a whole 747 on the former site of legendary interior designer Tony Duquette's estate? Francie Rehwald, who commissioned David Hertz's Wing House in Malibu "roamed the site looking for remnants ? Duquette's original compound of 21 whimsical structures had burned in a 1993 wildfire. The driveway is still lined with surviving bits of metal and ceramics that he had turned into sculptures." She's sitll hoping to turn the fuselage into an art studio. [Los Angeles, image via]
