We're just astonished that an LA-area neighborhood council voted in favor of large development project--that's just what happened in Boyle Heights when the NC endorsed the giant mixed-use project proposed for the Wyvernwood Garden Apartments. Voting 9-3, the council supported the plan to raze the complex and build 4,400 condos and apartments, along with 300,000 square feet of retail, and oodles of open space. The city will likely decide on the plan this spring. [Boyle Heights Beat]
