The listing for Hurt Locker star Jeremy Renner's latest flip project says "roaring 20's Art Deco style home fit for a 21st century Howard Hughes" and at first we were like "yeah, whatever," but then we saw the photos and yep, that is exactly who it's fit for. Renner has been so successful flipping over the past decade (often with partner Kristoffer Winters) that he hasn't had to worry too much about making money as an actor, according to a recent profile in Esquire (although now he is a very handsomely-paid action star). The same story, which adds that Renner often camps out in his under-construction flips, says that "Since 2002, they've bought and sold more than fifteen houses, each time slightly bigger, each time slightly braver." And clearly they've gotten quite big and brave: the listing for this 10,005-square-foot house in Holmby Hills says it's a complete rebuild with architecture by Phillip Vertoch and (seriously high-flying) design by Winters. It comes with six bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, five fireplaces, a pool and spa, a theater, and 1.89 acres of land. According to Redfin, the house last sold in 2010 for $7 million. Asking price now is $24.95 million. Screw that Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters check, right?
