WEST HOLLYWOOD: After a remodel necessitated a three week closure, The Hudson reopens tonight with a fiesta. The neighborhood restaurant and bar now has an exposed ceiling, new lights, communal dining, fresh desserts, new drinks and dishes, and coffee from Stumptown.
DOWNTOWN: A harbinger of Sixth Street gentrification when it opened two years ago, Babycakes has now closed its DTLA location. While this is sad, the chain's vegan, gluten-free donuts can still be found in Larchmont Village.
LOS ANGELES: Anyone on Facebook or Twitter probably already knows this, but in case you communicate via rotary phone, Dunkin' Donuts announced it is finally (re-)arriving in Southern California. The domination begins in 2015 and the Massachusetts-based chain is already seeking franchise owners.
WEST HOLLYWOOD: Gordon Ramsay at The London just launched a new small plates menu, headed up by chef Anthony Keene. Much seafood on tap, with prawns, scallops, and shrimp tortellini. There's also an indulgent beef wellington, the source of much screaming on Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen reality show.
