8 Celebrities Who Couldn't Sell Their Houses in 2012

Celebrities often seem to have more trouble selling their houses than the regular old plebs do. Maybe it's the rarefied price ranges they're dealing in, maybe it's that they can afford to let a house sit on the market, maybe it's that people are afraid to buy a house that the Osbournes have lived in--whatever it is, celebrity houses tend to linger. Here are eight celebrities whose houses lingered all the way through 2012 and into 2013:

Celebrity: Christina Aguilera
Location: Beverly Hills
Date house was listed: March 11, 2011
Current asking price: $13.5 million
Original asking price: $13.5 million
Details: Aguilera's Beverly Hills house (which once belonged to Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne) does indeed come with a gift-wrapping area, beauty salon, and guesthouse with recording studio.


Celebrity: Kelsey Grammer
Location: Holmby Hills
Date house was listed: May 21, 2012
Current asking price: $15.995 million
Original asking price: $18 million
Details: Grammer originally tried to sell this house back in 2008 and 2009; he's also trying to offload in Beverly Hills.


Celebrity: Anjelica Huston
Location: Venice
Date house was listed: September 22, 2010
Current asking price: $13.9 million
Original asking price: $18 million
Details: Huston's house was in escrow in 2012 (for a reported $12 million) and was supposedly going to be turned into a private social club with such rich-people-crazy events as seltzer water tastings. Shortly after those reports, it fell out of escrow.


Celebrity: Leona Lewis
Location: Hollywood Hills
Date house was listed: June 22, 2011
Current asking price: $2.199 million
Original asking price: $2.5 million
Details: The listing says this "beautifully remodeled estate" comes with "fabulous all white decor" and a separate guesthouse with gym.


Celebrity: Mark Wahlberg
Location: Beverly Crest
Date house was listed: September 8, 2011
Current asking price: $12.995 million
Original asking price: $13.995 million
Details: Wahlberg's house sits on 1.73 acres on gated Oak Pass Road and comes with a two-bedroom guesthouse, "a meandering putting green; lagoon style swimming pool with loopy waterfalls and water slide; multiple poolside cabanas and tented lounge areas; a grotto spa; lighted, full-sized sunken basketball court; and a cavernous fitness facility." Meanwhile, he's busy building in also-gated Beverly Park.


Celebrity: Matthew Perry
Location: Hollywood Hills
Date house was listed: October 17, 2011
Current asking price: $4.795 million
Original asking price: $5.695 million
Details: Prolific property collector Perry bought this house in 2008; it has "white terrazzo floors and disappearing walls of glass," some killer views, a theater, and indoor and outdoor fireplaces.


Celebrity: Howie Mandel
Location: Malibu
Date house was listed: December 2011
Current asking price: $7.25 million
Original asking price: $7.25 million
Details: Mandel's Point Dume house was designed by Douglas Burdge and built in 2008. It comes with five bedrooms, a theater, a gym, a pool/guesthouse, and more than an acre of land.


Celebrity: Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne
Location: Hidden Hills
Date house was listed: June 28, 2011
Current asking price: $12.999 million
Original asking price: $12.999 million
Details: Ozzy and Sharon are making the list for the second year in a row (last year they had trouble in Malibu) with their Architectural Digest-featured house in Hidden Hills, which comes with interiors designed by Martyn Lawrence-Bullard.
