Get ready for some mashup Western European architecture, Carlsbad--Caruso Affiliated (the people who brought you The Grove and the Americana) are buying up 48 acres of strawberry fields along the 5, although they don't yet have specific plans for them "beyond a desire to build retail, possibly mixed with housing."
