Owner Jerome Nash can do pretty much whatever he wants with the 1929 El Mirador--last night, the West Hollywood City Hall approved a development agreement that allows to him convert the building into either condos (28 units), apartments (32 units), or an urban inn (32 rooms). Nash evicted all his tenants in 2010 under the Ellis Act, saying he planned to renovate; after the city council denied plans for either condos or an inn, he threatened to tear the building down. The development agreement approved last night specifically warns against such future Ellising by others. [WeHo News]
