Two labor groups wrote to the City Attorney today saying they're going to court Friday to ask for "an administrative stay or temporary restraining order to halt construction" at the Chinatown Walmart; they're waiting on a November 13 hearing on an earlier motion to permanently stop work on the store. Meanwhile, the City Council is still waiting to vote on a too-late-for-Walmart chain store ban for the neighborhood. [LA Business Journal, sub. req.]
