SANTA MONICA: The legendary Michael's is going to get its first revamp after 33 years. The restaurant's dining room, patio, and artwork will get an overhaul for the twenty-first century and, in the process, get largely expanded outdoor and bar seating areas. No timeline just yet.
WESTWOOD: A heartbreaking shutter in the Village as The Stand, with its tasty burgers, chips, and pickles, closes its doors. The good news is that TLT Food, helmed by the winner of Food Network's The Great Food Truck Race, takes over November 1.
WEST HOLLYWOOD: A charming Spanish cottage on Westbourne (once the home of WeHo's first library) will soon be the home of neighborhood eatery V. Sounds like beer, cheese, charcuterie, and lots of wine is on the menu.
LOS ANGELES: Eater loves its lists, and its latest is a great one: LA's 11 most overrated restaurants. Entries include Toast and Malo. Did they miss anyone?
