Lots of action on the celebrity estate front this month. On the heels of Reese Witherspoon's Ojai ranch and Mel Gibson's Malibu compound came Phyllis Diller's Brentwood estate, complete with wig room. Also hitting the market this week is the former residence of beloved actor Ernest Borgnine, who passed away in July at 95. Designed in 1938 by architect LG Scherer, the country English-style house was the Academy Award-winning star's home for six decades. Per its listing, the six-bedroom, seven-bath property features hardwood floors, French doors, wainscoting, beamed ceilings, wood-burning fireplace, heated pool, and a one-bedroom guesthouse with kitchen and living room. Located on a half-acre lot above Mulholland Drive, it's listed at $3.395 million.
