Yeah, more rainbows for (greater) LA! Work began Monday to change the LGBT Pride crosswalks in West Hollywood from temporary feature to permanent. Initially created to coincide with this summer's Pride celebration, the rainbow crosswalks that line Santa Monica Boulevard as it crosses San Vicente Boulevard will become a permanent fixture by the first week of October. A construction crew is working during low-peak traffic times to add skid-resistant thermoplastic pavement markings and new asphalt to the crossings. [KTLA, previously]
