John Lautner's Bergren House Above Runyon Hits the Market

New, 45 comments

You can always count on John Lautner for a little loveliness--the mid-century architect designed scads of sexy houses around Los Angeles and now here's his Bergren House just north of Runyon freshly up for sale. According to Triangle Modernist Houses, Bergren was originally built in 1953, but burned down; Lautner rebuilt it with an addition in the late fifties. The listing says it's "been recently updated" and it currently has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, concrete floors, slate accents in the bathrooms, and killer views. Bergren was last seen renting in 2009 for $6,400 a month. Asking price now is $1.495 million.
