Inside the Endeavour-Carrying 747, LADWP Gets Landmarked

New, 4 comments

LAX: Before you get annoyed that we're posting even more photos of the space shuttle Endeavour (which landed at LAX today on its way to the California Science Center), know that these are actually of its unsung partner in crime, the 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft it flew in on. DOWNTOWN: It's hard to believe it hadn't already happened, but the City Council has just designated the tiered mid-century LADWP building a historic-cultural monument. The John Ferraro Office Building was designed by Albert C. Martin & Associates and opened in 1965. [LA Conservancy on Facebook]
