This Week's Top Stories: It was Millard Sheets Week on Curbed LA, and at first everyone was all like "who", and then everyone was like "hell yeah, Millard Sheets." The second phase of Downtown's new Grand Park opened up (the Community Terrace section) with a flag garden and more pink furniture - Phase 3 to open later this year. Curbed commenters offered their one, two, and three cents on the design proposals for the new Sixth Street bridge - in summary: its too expensive, and not perfect, but the favorite by far is the HNTB design. A listing in Trousdale Estates designed by famed "Googiests"Lundberg, Armet and Davis has come on the market for $5.995 million. There's light at the end of the tunnel, as Downtown's proposed Farmers Field wends its way to City Council later this month. Barry Shy's new downtown development, the 40-story SB Omega residential tower, may break ground as soon as April 2013.
