The lovely, wonderful, ostensibly free Getty does sort of charge: for parking ($15). LAObserved has gotten its hands on a copy of the Getty Institute's income disclosure form, which says the nonprofit collected $6,451,647 in parking revenue last year; in 2009, the year it bumped prices up from $10, it brought in $4,707,447. There's not a lot of alternative to the parking fee--accessing the Getty via transit can be tough. Update: It should be pointed out that this is not any kind of confidential info--Getty's financials are posted on its website. [LAObserved]
