This may just be the most perfect specimen of posh Los Angeles society house we've ever seen. It is, of course, in Holmby Hills and was designed by Paul Williams (built in 1937); it belongs to the estate of Barbara Knight, who died earlier this year. Knight was married to Fuller Warren (governor of Florida in the early fifties), the CEO of BF Goodrich (who died ten days after their wedding), the president of Hughes Aircraft, and James L. Knight of the Knight-Ridder newspaper chain, according to her obituary in the Miami Herald. Her house comes with six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, crazy-awesome landscaping, two motor courts, formal dining room, an elevator, a three-car garage with chauffeur's quarters, a guesthouse, and two pools, all on 1.21 acres. Asking price is $7.975 million.
