There are a whole bunch of high profile multi-family buildings out there on the market right now--the castle-like Le Trianon by Leland Bryant in Hollywood, Downtown's art deco Title Guarantee Building by John and Donald Parkinson, and now a modern option: Mid-Wilshire's Dunsmuir Flats, designed by Gregory Ain and built in 1938. The building has four units (they occasionally come up for rent), each with two bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms, a patio and garden, and balconies off the bedrooms. Right now three of the units are rented--two for $2,650 and for $2,700--and the front owner's unit will be delivered to a buyer empty. And the building comes with reduced property taxes under the Mills Act preservation ordinance. Last sold in 2006 for $1,868,500, the Dunsmuirs are now asking $1,995,000.
