Buy Zsa Zsa Gabor's Old House Where the Beatles Dropped Acid

New, 17 comments

The listing for this Benedict Canyon residence boasts that it's been home to Cary Grant, the Rolling Stones, and the Beatles. We can't find any evidence to support the first two claims; however, according to The Beatles Bible, the Fab Four rented the property from Zsa Zsa Gabor for a five-day break on their 1965 North American tour. And it was here, exactly 47 years ago today, that they threw a party, dropped acid, and proceeded to get bummed out by Peter Fonda, an event that inspired the song "She Said, She Said." Built in 1949, the 4,330 square foot house features four bedrooms, six baths, peg-and-groove hardwood floors, two wetbars, five fireplaces, a wine celler, pool, and six-car garage. Sited on a 2.53 acre lot, it's listed at $3.1 million.
