As summer winds down, we're looking back at some Los Angeles summers of old. Just when you thought you'd cooled off a little, we're going to make you all hot again looking at the bathing costumes in these photos from the early 1900s (we mean temperature wise, you weirdos). Back then, Santa Monica was just a young beach town and people actually flocked to the beach in Long Beach (and of course it wouldn't be summer without the alligator farm). Enjoy!
