Boo, the Venice Beach zipline has officially been pushed off until next summer. Following a failed appeal that tanked the original July 1 opening date, the plan will go to the California Coastal Commission for approval in November. One of the founders of the private company that will run the zipline said "he was hopeful the trial zip line would open in June, just in time for schoolchildren on break to participate in aerial training classes and performances. He said those classes and performances would take place in the morning, before the ride opened." [LAT]
