All that building the LAUSD has been doing has apparently paid off in higher elementary school test scores, so take that, haters! A new study from UC Berkeley found that students who moved into new LAUSD schools built between 2002 and 2008 "improved their scores as much as they would have if the school year was increased by 25 to 35 days." LAUSD's building program will come to 130 new facilities when it's finished. [LADN]
