In what the LA Business Journal (sub. req.) is calling the "highest square-foot price ever paid for a single-tenant retail property on the Westside," a nondescript Chase bank branch near Santa Monica Boulevard and Bundy sold for $7.51 million, or $1,500 per square foot. The 22,000 square foot plot that the bank (only 5,000 square feet) sits on likely enticed two Alhambra families to buy the property from its former owners, a Westside family. Chase has a lease at the building for another five and a half years, but after that, don't be surprised if you see the bulldozers rolling in. [LABJ]
