Now that Beverly Hills is finally working on preserving its historic buildings, it's gotten to work on a list of master architects that "will serve as one element of criteria that will determine a building's eligibility for landmark status." The 150-plus architects all worked in the area before 1970 and include Gregory Ain, John Elgin Woolf, Stiles O. Clements, Craig Ellwood, Frank Gehry, Greene & Greene, Wallace Neff, and of course Richard Neutra, whose Kronish House inspired this whole preservation thing. [BH Patch]
