The Roosevelt Lofts at Seventh and Flower are officially back--new owner Greystar Real Estate Partners reopened the apartments last week following a little construction work to finish up long-unfinished work. The 222-unit Roosevelts were in purgatory for a long time; the then-condos started selling in 2008 but went into bankruptcy in 2009, which made things unpleasant for at least one buyer who ended up living in the mostly-empty building as a renter. Finally last fall Greystar bought the building and spent $5 million and nine months finishing up the 71 unfinished units. They also did a little work on the building's amenities, which include a killer rooftop pool, a fitness center with massage and tanning, a zen garden, a business center, concierge, and valet parking. Oh, and also, the Roosevelt's right on top of the Seventh/Metro station. All the trouble hasn't deterred celebrities--David Arquette has an art studio in the building, and LA Lakers Paul Gasol and Lamar Odom (with his wife Khloe Kardashian) have units. Right now, rents look to range from about $2,570 for a one-bedroom, one-bathroom to $8,995 for a penthouse.
