Culver City Coffee Coming, Food With a View in DTLA, Oinkster on Vine, Jean-Georges in LA

CULVER CITY: Take a look at Cognoscenti Coffee's new alcove in the slick Clive Wilkinson Architects building on Washington--CC's founder Yeekai Lim is an architect, naturally. He's about two months out on his new outpost, thanks to permit issues.

SOUTH PARK: FigOly is now open atop the Luxe City Center Hotel across from LA Live. Looks like a nice place to eat some northern Italian cuisine and down some fancy cocktails before a night on the town.

HOLLYWOOD: The Oinkster, the "slow fast food" joint in Eagle Rock known for its burger, is spreading its wings and opening a Vine Street location in the former home of Sushi Hiroba. The design team that worked on Venice's gorgeous new Superba Snack Bar is putting finishing touches on the 4,000 square foot space.

LOS ANGELES: Eater is very excited that NYC's ABC Kitchen is scouting for places in LA; the eco-friendly restaurant from the legendary Jean-Georges Vongerichten won a James Beard Award last year for Best New Restaurant. No word on a location just yet.
