LA County assessed property values are up for the second year in a row, friends--2.24 percent/$24.8 billion, to be precise--but it's mostly just because of "an inflationary adjustment allowed by Proposition 13 for properties that did not change ownership." Total assessed property values for 2012 are at $1.13 trillion. All of that translates to higher revenues for local governments. [CNS]
