Last week, Walmart started construction on its hotly debated Chinatown Neighborhood Market and this past weekend, "hundreds of people" were in the streets protesting the store: "'This historic neighborhood will be utterly gutted if Wal-Mart comes here,' [Rage Against the Machine's Tom] Morello told The Associated Press about the prospects of the retail giant driving smaller stores in Chinatown out of business."
