LOS ANGELES: Ok, we know you are probably sick of Bret Easton Ellis-related news, but 1) We can never get enough of the man who is indirectly responsible for putting Andrew McCarthy in John Lautner's Silvertop house, and 2) This is pretty lovely. The author has just released a pre-trailer for his film The Canyons, which is shooting in town this month. While the title and some of the photography suggest a riff on MTV's The Hills, The Hollywood Reporter says the movie is actually an "indie sexual thriller." It's directed by Paul Schrader and stars Lindsay Lohan and porn-star-of-the-moment James Deen. [YouTube]
DOWNTOWN: The looooooong-awaited reopening of the Brockman Lofts is official--leasing started back in April, but now move-ins are finally underway, according to a press release.
