Given all the stories about bidding wars, low inventory, and high demand we've been inundated with lately, this listing strikes us as a bit of a head-scratcher. Granted, the four-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath house is located in Tarzana, not Silver Lake or some other "hot" 'hood. And sure, its kitchen and bathrooms are abominations, to put it mildly, as are the vertical blinds and such. But on the other hand, the 1961 residence was designed by A. Quincy Jones, fercryinoutloud! It's spacious (2,160 square feet), with walls of glass, ten-foot-high ceilings, clerestory windows, oak hardwood floors, a lovely brick fireplace, a swimming pool, spa, and built-in barbecue. What's more, the house occupies a .42-acre lot. Perhaps there are significant underlying issues, or perhaps it's thanks to the craptastic amateur listing photos and lack of staging, but for whatever reason, the property has languished on the market for two solid months. Originally listed at $909,000, it's since been reduced to $879,000.
