90210's Way or the Highway

The New York Times has stumbled on the Beverly Hills vs. the Westside Subway Extension story, rounding up both Bev Hills officials saying they love the subway, but... and LA officials calling Bev Hills out for obstructionism. There is also, of course, the obligatory non sequitur LA dig ("a region that once ripped out trolley car tracks to make way for automobiles") and this gem from the president of the Bev Hills Unified School District: "the reality is we’ve been nothing but supportive of this from the get-go."
