Doesn't combined Frank Gehry/Brad Pitt news just make you feel all fuzzy on a Friday afternoon? Work just finished this week on Gehry's duplex for Pitt's Make It Right Foundation, which builds starchitect-designed, sustainable houses in New Orleans's Lower Ninth Ward. Archinect shares photos and the press release, which says this is Gehry's only house in Louisiana. The duplex totals 1,780 square feet with a three-bedroom in front and a one-bedroom in back. It also has a waterproof solar canopy, six canopied porches, oversized bedrooms windows, and yards for both units. Gehry says "I wanted to make a house that I would like to live in and one that responded to the history, vernacular and climate of New Orleans. I love the colors that the homeowner chose. I could not have done it better.”
