The Case-Shiller home value index was up in April over March, but down over April 2011 (still, Detroit was the only of the 20 cities indexed in which home prices fell). Los Angeles prices were up 1.5 percent over March, but down 3.6 percent over last April. The head of USC’s Lusk Center for Real Estate says "I feel reasonably good about housing for the first time in a long time," so that's nice. [LAT/S&P]
