Bev Hills Wallace Neff House Owned By Betty Grable, Diane Keaton, Madonna Asking $18.495 Million

Hold on a second while we haul out the old bold-facing machine, we're gonna need it: this house on Beverly Hills's storied North Roxbury Drive was built in 1926 and designed by Pickfair architect Wallace Neff. Since then, it's been owned by Betty Grable and husband/trumpeter Harry James, according to the Movieland Directory; preservationist/actress Diane Keaton, who "totally refurbished the Spanish-style home," according to the LA Times; and Madonna. The listing also says it was once owned by Columbia Pictures founder Harry Cohn, but we haven't been able to find corroborating evidence of that. And, finally: it's also been in Architectural Digest. Now that that's out of the way, let's look at the stats: the property includes .6 acres and has seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, two guesthouses, formal gardens, and a swimmer's pool. The current owner bought the house in 2008 for $16 million; asking price now is $18.495 million.
