Sandwiched between a John Lautner, a Rudolph Schindler, and a couple of Buff & Hensmans, this sexy modern on Multiview Drive isn't exactly a slouch in the pedigree department itself. Built in 1949 for Oscar-nominated screenwriter (and Mr. Magoo co-creator) Millard Kaufman, the house features a lower-level addition by Richard Neutra and landscaping by Garrett Eckbo. Though we could find no mention of the property's original architect anywhere, given the Eckbo connection, we'd venture to say it very well could have been Josef Van der Kar, who collaborated with the landscape designer on all of his projects. Perhaps trophy-house collector Michael LaFetra, who sold the residence to its current owner (interior designer Thierry Marchand) can confirm our hunch? Per the listing, the 2,503 square foot home features four bedrooms, three baths, hardwood floors, walls of glass, a fireplace in the living room, multiple decks and patios, a swimming pool, and a detached, two-car garage. The .29 acre property, flipped by LaFetra in 2004 for $1.1 million, is now asking $1.895 million.
