Corrugated Cowboys

Fake people-based public art is totally the hotness right now: there were the papier-mache people Downtown, the cardboard laborers on the Westside, and now cardboard cutouts of cowboys looking down over the 2 in Glendale. The Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, and Gene Autry are the work of Glassell Park resident Justin Stadel, who says "he created the works so viewers could draw a spiritual feeling, a sense of freedom, from L.A.'s varied landscape."
